Im so excited to have received the Blog on Fire Award! Thank you Denise from Sunny Days in Second Grade. I have to tell you seven interesting things about myself because of this honor. I have decided my blog will only be about teaching ideas and not a blog about my personal life. I am making an exception for this award, but this will not take the place of my weekly teaching idea. So her goes:
1. Im terrified of cats. I think its because I watched the movie "Strays" when I was a kid. 2. I love to make lesson plans. I would rather plan for lessons than watch TV. 3. I’m obsessed with finding every education board on Pinterest. I have found almost 500 so far. 4. I once taught reading in prison. 5. I ride a motorcycle with my hubby. 6. My most embarrassing moment was when I was a teenager and had a wardrobe malfunction on stage. 7. Washington and Oregon are the only two states in the U.S. that I haven’t visited.

Here is a bonus teaching idea for you. This is an anchor chart I made with my students to teach transition words for writing.
